Adiabene (from the Ancient Greek , Adiabene, itself derived from , ' or ', Old Persian/Armenian: Nodshirakan) was an ancient kingdom in Assyria, with its capital at Arbela (modern-day Arbil, Iraq). Its rulers converted to Judaism from Ashurism in the 1st century.
