County Tipperary () is a county of Ireland. It is located in the province of Munster and is named after the town of Tipperary. The area of the county is divided between two local government authorities. In North Tipperary, part of the Mid-West Region, local government is in the care of North Tipperary County Council. In South Tipperary, part of the South-East Region, local government is in the care of South Tipperary County Council. The population of the county is 158,754 according to the 2011 census.
