Scientific American (informally abbreviated, SciAm) is a popular science magazine. It is notable for its long history of presenting scientific information on a monthly basis to an educated, but not necessarily research based public, through its careful attention to the clarity of its text as well as the quality of its specially-commissioned color graphics . Many famous scientists, including Albert Einstein, have contributed articles in the past 167 years. It is the oldest continuously-published monthly magazine in the United States.
